North Shore Adventures & Outdoor Center is your one stop shop to adventure on Cape Ann! With their extensive offerings and experienced team, they can help you get equipped and guide you for all your paddling, hiking, and biking needs around the beautiful North Shore.

Originally founded as North Shore Kayak Outdoor Center (NSKOC) in the late 1990s as a kayak, bike, tour, and rental company, new owners and operators Clay and Jen Kern have taken over and given new life to the business. North Shore Adventures LLC, DBA North Shore Adventures & Outdoor Center and its predecessor have helped over 100,000 people experience a closer look at what makes Cape Ann so special.

Driving Directions

By Bus:

CATA offers Free bus service for 2026. Take the Green, Blue or Red line depending where you are and you’ll be here in no time! CATA also offers an on demand service for a small fee.

By Train:

Hop on the convenient and inexpensive MBTA line from Boston, Beverly, Lynn, etc and then it’s a short 1/2 miles walk to our shop!

By Car:

If you are looking for parking you can use the Rockport Park and Ride when available. You can occasionally find free street parking on T wharf, or along High St, Jewett, School, and Cleaves Street. Most other streets near downtown have meters. Be sure to read the signs closely as parking is only in specific spots.
